Man drowns at Sharjah’s Al Khan beach

A 40-year-old man drowned while swimming at Al Khan Beach on Saturday evening, an official said on Sunday.

The vicitm was of Pakistani nationality and was identified as A.F.J. The police operations room received a call about the incident around 5pm. The man’s body was recovered and moved to Kuwaiti Hospital around 6pm. Later, the body was moved to the forensic laboratory for autopsy. Al Buhairah Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The police have appealed to the public to avoid swimming in areas where warning signs are displayed.
