Man crushed under roadroller in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: The case of the roadroller driver who ran over his colleague by mistake while he slept has been transferred to the Ras Al Khaimah Traffic Prosecution, a police source confirmed.

The Asian worker was crushed to death by the roadroller as he was sleeping in its shade during his afternoon break on Sunday.

The accident took place near the Central Jail in Ras Al Khaimah.

The man was run over when the driver of the roadroller came back to resume his work and did not see the man sleeping in front of the roadroller.

The worker died on the spot and his body was taken to Saqr Hospital.
