The life of your child is the main concern of the 'Back to Safety' programme organised by Trading Enterprises in conjunction with the UAE Police. Expert advice and free demonstrations will be provided for all till Thursday. Staff members will also check existing car seats to see if they are safely installed, free of cost. People can obtain information at all the Trading Enterprises service centres across the country.
Representatives from the UAE Police will be present at different centres at peak hours, mainly from 10.00pm to 12.30pm and 3.00pm to 6.00pm. These representatives will provide all information on the new child safety law and answer any questions you may have.
The topics under discussion will deal with the benefits of installing child car seats and children wearing seatbelts in the rear seats, too. The experts will also discuss which child car seats are suitable for your child, according to age and weight. They will also demonstrate how to instal these seats and booster cushions in your cars, ensuring their security.
Ashish Gupta, marketing executive at Trading Enterprises, said: "Volvo and Chrysler conducted similar programmes in Sweden and the U.S. respectively. Their training material was supplied to us to teach our staff members here." He said the main idea of the campaign was to generate goodwill and provide help to consumers. The company was able to organise the campaign with the help of Arthur Turvey, the national service manager.
