New orthotics and prosthetics centre

Dubai: The Bauerfeind Centre, a state-of-the-art retail unit for orthotics and prosthetics at Rashid Hospital is officially opened to ensure patients with special needs get timely access to high quality equipment and services either in the country or from abroad.

Spread over 550 square metres, it provides prosthetics for those with amputations as well as various kinds of equipment to provide support to adults and children suffering from any kind of disability. It also has an additional area for a workshop for 25 experienced healthcare professionals from Europe qualified in the field of orthotics and prosthetics.
