Dubai: The Ministry of Environment and Water has withdrawn and banned "Ping Pong" juice and allowed the import of Thai poultry and products.

The decision to ban the juice was issued by Obaid Mohammad Juma Al Matroushi, Director General of the ministry.

The juice was ordered to be withdrawn from the market and destroyed.

The Fujairah Municipality said its label did not include the colouring present in the juice. It also contained fungi.

The ministry also lifted the ban on Thai heat-treated poultry products, as long as they are tested and approved by the veterinary and health authorities.
