Dubai: The first batch of H1N1 vaccines to the UAE has hit a delay due to reasons beyond the control of Ministry of Health (MoH)
The vaccine, which was scheduled for delivery later this month, is now expected to arrive sometime next month, Emarat Al Youm reported.
A ministry source has been quoted as saying that one of the reasons for this delay is due to the inability on the part of the manufactures to meet up with the growing demands of the vaccine.
According to the source MoH officials has held discussions with the manufacturers on matters related to documentation of the drug safety. He also added that the H1N1 vaccines have reached some of the countries in the region. Oman received its first batch of the H1N1 vaccines yesterday.
