NYE in UAE: Sharjah announces New Year holiday for public sector

Sharjah: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources has declared Wednesday, January 1, an official holiday for government entities in celebration of New Year’s Day.

Regular work will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, except for those working on a shift basis.

This comes after the UAE government’s announcement of a holiday for its public sector employees.
