London:  His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday met Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Shaikh Mohammad and Brown reviewed the political and economic developments on the regional and international arenas, and reaffirmed the importance of achieving peace and co-existence in areas of conflicts and flash points, especially in the Middle East and Afghanistan.

The Vice-President and the British premier stressed the importance of cooperation between the two nations in medical and peaceful nuclear technology. 

They also discussed ways to explore new avenues of fruitful cooperation in economic, investment and educational spheres, as well as the joint action to overcome the economic recession resulted from the global financial crisis. 

Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Airline and Group, were present.

Shaikh Mohammad meets British Gordon Brown in London on Monday.
