Khalifa admires designs of Saadiyat Island projects

Dubai: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan admired the designs of three museums and an arts centre to be built at the Cultural District on Saadiyat Island.

The complex will contribute to placing Abu Dhabi as a cultural capital regionally and internationally.

Shaikh Khalifa yesterday acquainted himself with the designs of the Shaikh Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum for Contemporary Arts, the Classical Museum and Saadiyat Performance Arts Centre during a visit to the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Khalifa liked the design of the Shaikh Zayed National Museum, which is devoted to the history and traditions of Abu Dhabi and the legacy of late ruler Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The President was accompanied by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance and Industry, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Lt. General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, other Shaikhs and officials.
