Khalifa to receive well-wishers

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will receive Eid Al Adha greetings at Al Mushrif Palace on the first day of Eid.

Meanwhile, Hajis will converge in the valley of Mina today and spend the day in prayers. Tomorrow millions of pilgrims will travel to Arafat, where the Haj culminates.

The chief of the UAE Haj mission Mohammad Obaid Al Mazroui said camps have been set up at Mina and Arafat to receive thousands of pilgrims from the UAE. He said he has instructed the inspection committee not to hesitate in penalising any contractor who fails to abide by the rules.

He earlier met clerics accompanying UAE pilgrims. The clerics provide religious guidance and counselling. Al Mazroui also urged them to unify their edicts on religious matters.
