Conference on Arabs’ history of science opens in Sharjah

Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Wednesday attended the opening of the third International Conference on Muslims’ and Arabs’ History of Sciences at the University of Sharjah.

The three-day event brings together prominent scientists and experts from the Arab and Muslim world and around the world to highlight the influence of Arab and Islamic scientific and cultural heritage on the current scientific and technological advances the world is witnessing now.

Dr Humaid Majol Al Nuaimi, chancellor of the University of Sharjah, delivered the inaugural speech in which he thanked Dh Shaikh Sultan for his support to scientific research.

The third edition is building on the huge success of the previous editions of the conference which were held in 2008 and 2014.
