German fruitcake sale to support charity

Dubai: A charity sale of German fruitcake at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates is set to start on December 9. All money raised from the sale will go to the Dubai Centre for Special Needs.

A total of 720 metres of traditional Stollen cake will be sold from 10am at the mall’s central galleria. A single 60cm loaf can be bought for Dh100, or a single slice for Dh5.

Organisers hope to set a fundraising record for the sale, now in its eleventh year.
