Fire breaks out in 3 warehouses in Al Ain

Al Ain: A fire that broke out in three warehouses destroying all their belongings was brought under control in Al Ain this (Saturday) afternoon.

No major injuries were reported although police revealed that a civil defence employee suffered minor asphyxiation due to the fumes and was taken to Al Ain Hospital for treatment.

According to police, a call about the fire came in at 12.48pm, prompting teams from the civil defence and quick intervention units to head to the site. According to officials, all the fibreglass and wooden items in the warehouses were destroyed and it took firefighters three hours to douse the flames. Investigations are still ongoing to find out the cause of the incident.
