2015 marks 100th anniversary of Gandhi’s return to India from South Africa

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), the flagship convention of overseas Indians organised by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India will be held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat in January, 2015.
Since 2015 marks the hundredth anniversary of the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa, PBD-2015 will be celebrated in a big way, the Indian Embassy said in a statement. To have more meaningful and interactive sessions that will address the issues and concerns of the overseas Indian community effectively, enthusiastic participation from the Indian community in the UAE is expected. Participants can also avail of the early bird and group discount facilities.
The procedures and guidelines can be downloaded from www.pbd-india.com. All People of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians are requested to avail of this opportunity, the embassy said.
