No rain expected in UAE despite cooler weather
Al Ain: Weathermen expect no chance of rain in the next 72 hours, saying the conditions would remain cool and fair to partly cloudy.
The Central Forecast Office at Abu Dhabi Meteorological Department said north-westerly winds have been bringing in clouds in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other parts of the emirates.
“We see no chance of rain, but temperature could drop down to the normal values,'' said a forecaster.
"The winds have been raising dust over land areas at times. The weather would be relatively humid at night and hazy over some areas by Friday morning."
He said the westerly and north-westerly winds were yesterday (Thursday) blowing at a speed of 10 to 16 knots that could get stronger to 18 to 24 knots in general.
Conditions would be particularly cold at night in desert areas and people planning outdoor parties during the weekends and National Day holidays must take extra protection.
“It could be bitterly cold out in the desert, especially at night,'' he said.
Sea could also be moderately rough with waves as high as five to six feet offshore.
