Hot and humid weather expected to continue for next 48 hours in the UAE
Al Ain: The sizzling hot weather is expected to continue for the next 48 hours, said weathermen.
The high daytime temperature and high evening humidity have been forcing residents to cut short their outdoor activities.
Many parts of the country have been baking under the Sun as mercury jumped to 49 degree Celsius, especially in Al Ain and Liwa, for the last 10 day.
"This is usual in July, but environmental factors have been playing a greater role in the rising temperature in the country," said Dr S.K. Gupta, a forecaster at Dubai Met Office. He said the maximum temperature in Dubai is 44 degree Celsius.
Dr Gupta said the south-easterly winds, which are coming from the Empty Quarters, are actually dictating the country's current weather pattern.
Winds could kick up dust and sand in some interior areas.
