Zoo shares its experience with international organisations in conserving endangered species
Al Ain: Al Ain Zoo has succeeded in providing a database of over 3,800 animals from 200 species, reflecting one of its international commitments.
The database includes mammals, birds and reptiles, whereas nearly 26 per cent of these are endangered species.
The zoo contributes in providing data and periodic updates about endangered species to the coordinators of books on reproduction and global breeding programmes as part of its contribution to the global conservation and breeding efforts of endangered species in zoos.
