Abu Dhabi: As global leaders steam ahead in heated discussions for climate change in Copenhagen, here in Abu Dhabi, thousands of students along with their teachers and parents, are getting a chance to learn more about the global issue.
In cooperation with the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD), Masdar, Gulf Electronics (Phillips), Emirates Wildlife Society-World Wide Fund for Nature and D Club, the Abu Dhabi Indian School's environmental club Prakriti organised a Climate Change Fair at their school grounds yesterday.
The fair, which was open to students, teachers and parents of over 27 schools — that are members of EAD's Sustainable Schools Initiative — revolved around the United Nations Environment Programme theme "Lets UNite to Combat Climate Change".
While global leaders discuss climate change in Copenhagen, this fair aimed to highlight how individuals can unite in their efforts.
