Second division club Dibba Al Hisn caused the biggest upset in the President's Cup preliminary in Group B when they defeated Al Wasl 2-1 at Al Hisn stadium yesterday.

With this win Dibba now tops the group with 12 points ahead of Sharjah who also have 12 points but an inferior goal difference. Despite the defeat, First Division club Al Wasl has already qualified for the last 16 with ten points and a game in hand.

In another Group B match, defending champions Al Wahda beat Dibba Fujairah 2-1 at Dibba
Al Wahda has nine points and now requires either a win or a draw against Al Orouba to qualfy for the prequarters.

In another match, Al Shabab wiped Ras Al Khaimah Club 4-0 in Group A to top the group with 11 points in five matches.

Suroor Salim and Ahmed Al Sayegh gave a 2-0 lead for Al Shabab in the first session of play. While Walid Obaid and Brazilian striker Nelson scored the third and fourth goals in the second half.

With this defeat, the chances of Ras Al Khaimah's hope of reaching the prequarters are slim. They have seven points, with one more match to play against Massafi next week.

In Group C, Al Ittihad defeated Al Hamriya 4-3. They are now fourth in the group with seven points and a game in hand.

In Group D, Al Ain topped the standing after they beat Hatta 3-1 at Hatta stadium. Al Ain have 12 points and have finished their engagements.
