Two construction workers fall to death in Sharjah

Sharjah: Two Bangladeshi workers died after falling from a building under construction on King Faisl Road of Sharjah on Wednesday, police said.

The accident took place on Wednesday morning at around 9.30am.

Workers at the site reported the incident to the police operation room.

The 40-year-old worker was identified as M.H.A died on the spot and paramedics transferred his body to Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory.

The second worker later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Al Qassimi hospital, official said.

The case is with Al Buhairah police station for further investigations.

Police are urging construction companies to ensure that all safety measures are in place at their worksites in order to avoid similar accidents.
