Judicial institute keen to meet today's business needs

Dubai: The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has adopted technical and quantitative judicial excellence through the implementation of strategic training programmes designed according to the requirements of today's business environment, said DJI's director-general yesterday.

"Following the gracious guidance of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DJI realised his vision of technical and quantitative judicial excellence through the implementation of strategic training programmes that have been designed according to the demands of today's business environment.

"DJI has become a destination for people who are keen to undertake the best judicial training in the region," said Dr Judge Jamal Al Sumaiti in his keynote address during the graduation ceremony of the largest batch ever in DJI's history.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, members of the judicial industry, dignitaries and VIPs attended DJI's graduation ceremony of first batch of Diploma in Legal and Judicial Studies for Judges, and eleventh batch of Diploma in Legal and Judicial Studies for Public Prosecutors, and first batch of Diploma in Legal and Judicial Studies for Military Judiciary.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dr Al Sumaiti said the event underlines DJI's continuing commitment to develop and implement training programmes that aim to promote regional judicial excellence and support the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.

Essam Eisa Al Humaidan, Attorney General and DJI's Chairman, commended the remarkable progress that the institute has achieved, especially in terms of the number and calibre of its trainees.
