Council to emiratise media

Abu Dhabi:  Efforts to emiratise the media was the focus of a meeting held recently.

The Emiratisation and Human Resources Development Committee at the National Media Council (NMC) and experts from the Ministry of Labour on Saturday held a meeting to discuss the ministry's efforts and initiatives aimed at emiratising the media.

The ministry's team conveyed a letter from Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the NMC, expressing his full support to the meeting which discussed training packages for the targeted human resources.

The two sides decided to hold an extensive meeting later on with representatives of media organisations including newspapers, satellite channels, radio stations, and more.
