Five hearing-impaired students, all UAE nationals, who graduated from the Fujairah Disabled Rehabilitation Centre, are now employed.

The five comprise one young man, attached to the Fujairah Police Department, and four women, working in government departments in Fujairah.

"Those students have been introduced to the community as productive members of society who have received appropriate training and education that enabled them to take up jobs

just like other people," said Fatima Al Jallaf, director of the Fujairah Disabled Rehabilitation Centre.

The centre is celebrating the 30th Arab Deaf Week.
