Body remains found at site of Al Quoz fire
Dubai: The scattered remains of human body parts were found on Friday at the site of last week's huge fire in Al Quoz.
The remains have been sent to the forensic lab, a Civil Defence official said.
"It was difficult to determine whether the remains were from one body or more," said Col Ahmad Al Sayegh, acting director of Dubai Civil Defence.
A huge explosion was heard at the start of the fire on Wednesday. Two people died when they were hit by flying debris.
On Thursday another body was found at the site, bringing the death toll to three. Two people are still reported missing.
CID experts are still collecting evidence from the site to determine the cause of the explosion, Al Sayegh said. He said the area was being cooled down yesterday to make sure the fire did not flare up again.
The cloud of white smoke over the area has finally lifted.
