Bargains at Country Club

Dubai's Second White Elephant Sale will be held at the Dubai Country Club tomorrow, 2.00pm onwards. It will be a good day for a bargain hunt, with quality cots, car seats, equipment, toys, videos, games - all going for a song.

"All of the tables for the event were sold out two weeks prior to the event, so the White Elephant Sale has already got a good reputation for being the place to sell and buy great bargains. We were able to raise Dh1,500 last time and hope to do better this time around," says Paula Le Flohic, the founder of Twins, Triplets or More (TTOM) and organiser of the event.

The proceeds of the cost of the tables are going to support Medicins Sans Frontieres and on the day itself, volunteers from TTOM and MSF will be there to make sure that buyers and sellers alike enjoy all there is to offer.

This time, the White Elephant Sale has a 'market place' area, which will have lots of brand new quality art and craft products, wooden toys and lots of lovely ideas for presents. Magrudys, who are a sponsor of TTOM, will also be present to support the cause and provide a Tombola.

With a bouncy castle, face painters and acres of bargains, that too serving a worthy cause, the sale promises to leave the visitor spoilt for choice.
