AUS partners with Queen's University for dual master's degree programme

Sharjah: The American University of Sharjah (AUS) has teamed up with Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, to introduce a dual master’s degree program in computer science and computer engineering.

This innovative initiative combines the strengths of two renowned global institutions to create an academic pathway that offers students enhanced expertise, resources, and research opportunities across borders.

The program, set to begin in Fall 2025, will allow graduate students to learn from distinguished faculty members at both AUS and Queen’s University while benefiting from state-of-the-art resources at each institution.

Dual master's degree

Students will complete a comprehensive curriculum, including coursework and a master’s thesis co-supervised by faculty from both universities. Upon successful completion, students will receive two separate master’s degrees—one from each university—emphasizing the program’s commitment to excellence and international recognition.

The dual degree program is designed to provide a seamless academic journey, with students maintaining active enrollment at both AUS and Queen’s University. AUS graduate students pursuing a master’s in computer science or computer engineering who opt for the dual degree program will take courses at both institutions. Similarly, students from Queen’s University enrolled in computer science or computer engineering will also participate in coursework at both AUS and Queen’s.
