Anti-corruption crusader Hazare files case in stamp paper racket
Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare filed a public interest litigation (PIL) yesterday asking the court to direct the Maharashtra government to implement and make public the report of Subhodh Jaiswal Committee that conducted a probe into the multi-crore Telgi stamp paper racket.
Two city lawyers P.A. Sebastian and Majeed Memon filed the PIL on behalf of Hazare with the respondents being the state government, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, the Additional Chief Secretary (home) and the Director General of Police.
