Abu Dhabi Crown Prince meets Barack Obama

The Hague:  General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Tuesday met US President Barack Obama, on the sidelines of the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit, which concluded.

Shaikh Mohammad and Obama discussed the relations of friendship and strategic cooperation between the UAE and the United States, in the presence of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister. They also exchanged views about a number of issues of mutual concern, and their common vision for enhancing and developing their partnership in the best interests of their countries and people.

The talk touched on the Syrian crisis, its developments and implications for the region as well as on the international peace and security. The two leaders also discussed efforts being exerted on the global level to put an end to the suffering of Syrians.

Obama briefed Shaikh Mohammad on the current negotiations between Iran and the group 5+1 over its nuclear programme.
