British Airways' Playhouse is back in the theatrical arena with Harvey, their second production of the new millennium.
Tomorrow, at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Intercontinental Al Ain, stage lovers will be able to feast their senses on this classic comedy written by Mary Chase and encrusted with a star-studded cast of Henry McGee, Jeffery Holland, Frances Jeater and others.
Produced by Piers Nimmo, Harvey is rated to be one of the best loved stories of the last 100 years.
The plot revolves around the relationship between Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend, the six-foot one-inch tall white rabbit called Harvey which only he can see.
The play is being widely hailed as a true classic of the modern theatre. It is one of the longest-running comedies in the Broadway and West End history.
Harvey appeals to the imagination in all of us. It combines magic, charm and a love of life held together by a pinch of farce to create a heart-warming tale.
The play is directed by Alan Starchan and designed by Terry Parsons who is also credited with designing 40 other Playhouse productions.
Harvey is a must-see for those amongst us who relish magical fantasies, where hopes and dreams are made real and lauqhter is infectious.
Tickets for the dinner theatre are on sale for Dhs 185 per person and special room rates at the hotel are available to facilitate theatre enthusiasts willing to make the weekend trip from other emirates.
