Over 40 Filipinos are expected to sign up for a crash course in PC assembly in Ajman starting tomorrow, according to organisers.
The course, spearheaded by the Filipino Association for Compu-ter Excellence (FACE) as part of the outreach programme of the Philippine diplomatic mission, will be held for the first time in Ajman.
To be held for three hours over eight Fridays until September 6, the course will cover configuring, troubleshooting and loading an operating system to a PC assembled from off-the-shelf parts.
The training programme in Ajman is initiated by FACE member Sonny Castillo with help from the group's officials.
"A lot of students eager to attend the course are on the waiting list. But due to the limited slots and the small size of the training venue, we advise them to hang on to the second batch," said Dante Delizo, vice president of FACE.
Trainers will be headed by the group's president, Ed Ferrer, Delizo and other officers who offer their expertise free of charge.
FACE has already conducted PC assembly and networking courses in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
