Dubai : Around 20 companies from Dubai are set to take part in IndiaSoft 2010 which will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan on March 10-12.

"Last year, 10 companies from UAE took part and this year we have invited Dubai Silicon Oasis to come and visit us in India," Kamal Vachani, Regional Director of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) for the Middle East, told Gulf News.

He said that Dubai Silicon Oasis has shown a very positive response. "The event is meant to facilitate joint ventures, collaboration and strategic alliances for outsourcing with overseas buyers," Vachani said.

The global exhibition and conference, in its glorious 10th edition, is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India.

D. K. Sareen, Executive Director, ESC said that the event will be a very effective forum for the participants to assess appropriate partners with whom joint ventures can be established for mutual benefit, as also to assess the outsourcing needs of foreign buyers who would be visiting the event.

The event will provide participants with an opportunity to broaden their vision and tap the emerging global markets, at a time when the IT industry is perceived to be coming out of the grip of the global economic meltdown.

Around 250 software and services buyers from over 50 countries, besides a host of renowned Indian companies, at this business-to-business (B2B) partnering forum are expected to take part.
