Dubai Techno Park's latest addition is set to be the automation and control company, Cimac, who says it will build a Dh25 million technology centre and centre of excellence in the park.
The 10,000 square metre facility will have an automated panel manufacturing and assembly unit. It will manufacture control panels and low voltage motor control centres.
An advanced staging and testing facility will also be built at the Park, to test microprocessor based control systems before they leave the production floor.
"Dubai can be termed one of the fastest growing technological hubs in the world", said Ajay Menon, general manager of Cimac. "The infrastructure, facilities, labour laws, industrial rules and regulations are extremely feasible for establishing business ventures here, and it would not be long before Dubai Techno Park grows into an emerging industrial hub of the region.
The construction of Cimac's new facility at Techno Park will be spread over four phases, with the first phase expected to be completed by the second half of 2006. A research and development facility called the World Centre of Excellence and Innovation that will consist of a variety of different robots fitted with Cimac's laser technology, will also be a part of Cimac's new project at Techno Park.
