XPRESS met a few of these super-charged, enthusiastic (some over-enthusiastic) young boys and gals on the sidelines to find out what makes them click

Megha Satish, Manipal University Dubai, Second year BSC Information Systems and Management

What am I doing here? This is my second year at Gitex and I’m promoting Ultrabooks for Intel.

How did I come here? I sent my CV to a recruitment agency which had posted this vacancy on Facebook and BBM. I got selected.

How I got trained? I got trained on Ultrabooks by Intel. Since we are proper promoters for Intel we can promote Ultrabooks across brands. We have around 250 Intel salespeople in various stalls across Gitex.

How’s the experience? With the final weekend upon us, things are certain to pick up. I get to meet new people. I get to know what they want. Since I personally like Ultrabooks, I’m over-enthusiastic in selling them. A manager at a software company was so impressed, he even offered me a job!

How’s the money?: Since I’m a beginner, I’m getting around Dh3,500. Some with experience earn upto Dh7,000.

The one thing I’d buy at Gitex? An Ultrabook from Asus.
