Ledeboer wins Luckiest Ball qualifier

Sharjah: Roger Ledeboer carded a net 73 to qualify for the Luckiest Ball on Earth grand final at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Friday.

Ledeboer recovered from three double bogeys with four birdies to finish ahead of a 30-strong field thanks to a better back nine. Seven players had been in the mix at the halfway stage in what was a close fought battle.

Qualifiers are played at local clubs throughout the year with winners qualifying for the grand final at Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Fire Course on October 23. The winner of the grand final wins a slot alongside the professionals at the Pro/Am ahead of the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estate’s Earth Course from November 17-20.
