Asante joins Al Jazira

Abu Dhabi: Al Jazira have signed Ghanaian winger Ernesto Asante on a two-year deal from Denmark’s FC Nordsjaelland.

The 29-year-old former Feyenoord Academy, Beveren, Start and Stabaek player is the first foreign signing under new Dutch coach Marcel Keizer.

Former Ajax boss Keizer has taken over from compatriot Henk ten Cate who retired after finishing seventh last season.

As yet there is no confirmation on who will be retained or replaced to complete the club’s foreign quartet ahead of next season.
