Dubai: Al Wahda made it three wins from three matches in the Arabian Gulf Cup on Tuesday as they defeated hosts Ajman 1-0.
The home side looked to be holding their own until Al Wahda struck just before the break, with Brazilian Leonardo de Souza getting the final touch on a ball from Argentine teammate Sebastian Tagliabue in the 42nd minute.
The win meant the Abu Dhabi side moved on to a perfect nine points in Group A, while Ajman remained on four points from their three matches.
In Group B, Al Dhafra defeated Emirates Club 4-2 at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium to pick up their first win of the campaign.
