Dubai: Some of the biggest names of yesteryears have promised a tennis feast for UAE residents when they descend on court for the Legends Rock Dubai this weekend.
"I love to compete against the best and the line-up of this tournament gives us all an opportunity to play against some of the best senior players of our era," said former four-time Grand Slam winner, Jim Courier.
"I am here to win this tournament and I want to win it by playing against the best," Courier promised.
Better show
The Legends Rock Dubai, played for the past two years more as a family entertainment event at the Madinat Jumeirah, has moved up a gear to be part of Courier's ‘Outback Champions Series'. It will be held at the Dubai Tennis Stadium from November 22-24.
Besides Courier, this year's event features French Open champion Thomas Muster, Wimbledon champions Pat Cash and Michael Stich, six-time Grand Slam doubles champion Paul Haarhuis, French Open finalist Mikael Pernfors, French and US Open finalist Cedric Pioline and French Open doubles finalist Mansour Bahrami.
