Tiddliwinks springs York surprise

Unfacied Tiddliwinks sprung a surprise to win the Group Two Duke Of York Stakes yesterday. Sent off at odds of 25/1 the Kevin Ryan-trained six year-old scored by a head and a neck from The Cheka and Society Rock.

Favourite Hoof It finished fifth and Godolphin's Soul sixth in the 13-runner contest.

Earlier, The Fugue was an authoritative winner of the Group Three Musidora Stakes.
