Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards for Horseracing Excellence announced

Dubai: An annual Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards for Horseracing Excellence was announced at the post-position draw ceremony for Dubai World Cup on Wednesday.

Announcing the awards, Saeed Al Tayer, Chairman and CEO of Meydan, said the award will recognise outstanding contributions in all aspects of the sport, such as best horse, owners and trainers - the details of which will be announced in due course.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is the founder of the world renowned Godolphin stables and was the moving force towards instituting the Dubai World Cup in 1996.
