Al Tayer named Meydan chairman

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued a decree forming the board of directors for Meydan racecourse in Dubai.

The board will be chaired by Saeed Al Tayer, while Ahmad Al Shaikh will be the deputy chairman.

The board members include Malih Al Basti and representatives from the Dubai Equestrian Club and Dubai Racing Club.

Under decree No 15 of 2009, the board will serve for three years.

The decree went into force from the date of issuance on February 24, 2009.

It will be published on the Gazette.
