Haritha wins title in straight sets

Dubai: Haritha Harinarayanan beat Amritha Kuttikrishnan in straight sets 21-10, 21-9 to win the ladies’ singles title at the 38th UAE Open India Club Badminton Tournament.

In an exciting semi-final match in the girls’ under-16 years singles category, Tanisha Crasto beat Sara Siraj in a hard-fought match that went into three sets 14-21, 21-12, 21-19.

In the second semi-final, Deborah Rebello beat Needa Najeeb in two sets 21-13, 21-10.

Tanisha Crasto will now clash with Deborah Rebello in the final.
