Daily diary from the DGC Open at Delhi Golf Club round 2

Today in the second round of The DGC Open presented by MasterCard. I managed a one over par 73 to stand level par after two rounds on 144 and tied 21st.
Starting from the first tee I got off to a sluggish start with bogeys on holes 3, 5 and 7, but responded with a birdie on hole 6.
A double on 10 was very concerning but a strong finish with birdies on holes 13, 14 and 18 saw me safely home and I made the cut by five shots. That is rewarding as I have missed the cut by a shot in my last two events. Phew!
Conditions on the tree-lined course at the Gary Player re-designed Delhi golf course this afternoon (Friday) were very tricky with swirling winds and firmer greens.
I didn’t have my ‘A game’ today but I battled hard on the back nine which I was very proud of, and I am placed nicely for a chance on the weekend.
I will be looking to make a positive move tomorrow (Saturday) on ‘Moving Day’ in this 72 hole, four round event, and hopefully put myself in the conversation come Sunday.
I am happy for my fellow Dubai Golden VISA Awardee Jeev Milkha Singh, who made the cut on the mark to make the weekend lying in tied 57th, which is great preparation for next week’s European Tour’s Legends event in Mauritius.
Also, fellow Dubai resident MG Keyser is playing solid as always and after 36 holes is on level par alongside me.
It is nice to see the 2022 Asian Tour Calendar has now been further published and the season is now taking shape nicely with more International Series events still to be published:
