Samera proves his worth to Al Shaab

Al Shaab's Iranian striker Ali Samera proved just how important a player he is for the team.

He returned last Friday to lead them in a resounding 5-2 win against leaders Al Wasl and scored four goals. It was the first league defeat for Al Wasl in 15 matches.

Al Shaab suffered a lot from the absence of Samera in the three matches that he was suspended for by the FA. They lost all three against Al Shabab, Al Ain and Al Wahda. It cost them the top spot in the league table.

Samerah is chasing Dubai club's Gregory for the top goalscorer award. The Iranian has 14 goals, while Gregory is leading with 15.
