Dubai: Al Wasl fans flocked to Dubai Airport on Sunday night to greet newly signed Edson Puch and Juan Manuel Olivera.

Meanwhile news of a fourth and final edition to Diego Maradona's squad has leaked in the form of Argentine midfielder Mariano Donda.

A club source confirmed: "Olivera needs to undergo his medical test before he's officially signed so we're going to wait until he does and then hopefully organise a press conference for him and Puch later this week maybe Wednesday or Thursday".

An Al Wasl statement said: "Puch is the first of the foreign players to arrive at the club, joining his new teammates for training on Tuesday. He has expressed his excitement for joining the team and is eager to start giving his all to the winning combination".

Puch ‘The Little Magician', a 25-year-old Chilean attacking midfielder joins from Universidad de Chile, after spells with Municipal Iquique and Huachipato.

He'll be reunited with former Universidad teammate Olivera at Al Wasl should the Uruguayan striker, aged 29, pass the medical and agree to terms at the club this week as expected.

Olivera has previously played for Danubio, San Lorenzo, Cruz Azul, Universidad, Suwon Bluewings, Shaanxi Baorong, Libertad, Al Shabab Riyadh and Penarol.

These two will be joining 29-year-old striker Hassan Ali Ebrahim in training, who signs from Al Ahli this week.

Ebrahim represents the fifth local signing for Al Wasl this summer behind; 23-year-old forward Hamad Al Hosani from Al Dhafra, 29-year-old right back from Al Wahda Fahad Masoud, defender Ali Rabih from Emirates Club - aged 27, and Fujairah defender Mubarak Hussan aged 26.

Al Wasl, who aim to compile a new wave of Galacticos under Maradona in order to fulfill ambitions of a league title, now have three foreigners from four after Oman's Mohammad Shaiba is retained as the club's sole Asian contingent.

One more slot remains for foreigners and South American press have allocated that to Mariano Martin Donda, a 29-year-old midfielder of Godoy Cruz and formerly Bari and Nueva Chicago.

A club source confirmed: "Donda is one of a few players that Maradona is interested in but he hasn't singled him out yet as his favorite and hasn't asked the club to make official contact, he might be finalizing things from his end but officially no contact from Al Wasl Football Company was made requesting the services of the player yet."

Donda has said, "I am happy to receive these offers, but my priority is to stay here, I want to continue here, but football is changing and you don't know where you are going next. I do have to consider these offers, especially since I am 29 now."

Al Wasl has already parted company with foreigners; Alex De Souza, Francisco Yeste who joins Olympiacos and Alexandre Oliviera who has joined Botafogo.
