Dubai: Newly promoted UAE Pro League side Ajman are on the hunt to tie down two African strikers after already signing French-Algerian midfielder Karim Kerkar from RAK Emirates, according to a source at the club.

Senegalese striker Ebrahima Toure of Iran's Sepahan is in Ajman's sights as well as Ivorian forward Olivier Tia Tokbe of Al Ahli Doha.

Tokbe started his career in Belgium with a year each at Beveren, Sint Niclase and Wilrijk since 2004. From 2007 he joined Tunisia's Olympique Beja and has been with Al Ahli Doha since 2008. His youth career was spent with Ivory Coast's ASEC Mimosas.

Toure started his youth career at France's Metz before representing Morocco's Wydad Casablanca in 2005. He got a loan move to Iran's Paykan in 2007 before representing Persepolis and Sepahan. He's won the Iranian league twice with Sepahan in back-to-back seasons.

Captaincy

Meanwhile, Kerkar who is already a confirmed addition at Ajman and will likely take over captaincy, said: "I'm happy with my move. My contract with Emirates finished and I wanted to stay in the country despite offers in Saudi and Qatar."

"This is something new for my career having won two cups with Emirates [The Presidents Cup and The Super Cup] and promotion from the second division we also played in the Champions League. It's time to turn the page, I'm not disappointed to leave at all."
