I would be the first to agree that the chitchat between the two teams reached unreasonable limits in the Kochi match.
Everybody likes to see a bit of aggression in the game, but it is counter-productive when it goes on and on.
I spoke to the team about this, and chances are Mahendra Singh Dhoni has done the same.
I think sanity will be restored, with both teams wanting to get on with the game.
We have had quite a bout of injuries of late, so it's great to finally have a squad of 15 fit guys to choose from.
Nathan Bracken is also back, and we will assess his availability for the game today.
I have had a couple of good training sessions over the last two days, and will be back on the park today.
It's been tough to watch the action from the sidelines, so I am really looking forward to the game.
Our batting in both Bangalore and Kochi has been satisfying, particularly since we were able to come back from difficult situations to guide the side past 300.
Good work
On Tuesday, Andrew Symonds and Brad Haddin were very impressive against the spin of Harbhajan Singh and Ramesh Powar.
This has helped us in the middle overs, an area of the game that had often let us down in the past.
Like in the bowling, India started strongly in the batting as well, with Robin Uthappa leading the charge.
Our bowlers were really quick to adapt and adjust their line when the pressure was on them, and this is what accounted for the quick wickets in the second power play. Interestingly, I remember I caught Sachin Tendulkar at short point, exactly like Symonds did, when we played in Kochi a few years ago.
It was quite amazing to see that happen again at the same venue.
We always speak about our plans and the need to execute them well.
Yesterday our plans for both Yuvraj Singh and Sachin went off very well, and hopefully we can continue the good work in the forthcoming matches as well.
It is important that we don't lose focus, because even though things have been going well for us so far, this series is only a game-and-a-half old.
We need to keep the momentum going, and not sit back for even a moment. The Indians would be disappointed that they were unable to capitalise on good starts from their new ball bowlers as well as their top order batsmen.
It will therefore be interesting to see what they have in store for us today.
