Nucaf-Tellicherry scored an exciting one-run win over Tiger Cricket Club to lift the Mobil Challenge Cup.

The hero of the match was Tellicherry's Tameem Ansari, who hit a 60 to steer his team to a challenging total.

Tiger Club took up the challenge but in the end failed to reach the target by one run despite losing nine wickets.

Tellicherry lost an early wicket in Ajeer to Shehzad but Yogesh (22) and Manoj (31) put on 37 runs for the second wicket.

After the departure of Yogesh, Tameem Ansari joined Manoj and put on 58 runs for the third wicket and took the score to 102 runs in 15 overs.

Tameem then carried on the good work with Hyder and the pair added another 51 runs to take Tellicherry to 165 runs.

Tameem top scored with a superb knock of 60 (44b, 3x4, 3x6) and Tellicherry went on to post 204 for 6.

Tiger Cricket Club chased well even though they lost two early wickets.

Kashif Butt and Farooque steadied the innings with a 62-run partnership before Yogesh struck a triple blow, picking up three wickets to have Tiger's Club reeling at five down for 98 runs.

Shafqat Ali then fought back with a gritty knock of 46 runs in 32 balls along with Jahangir, who defied the Tellicherry attack and nearly won the match for the Tiger's but was unfortunately run out to leave Nucaf-Tellicherry winners by a single run.

In the DCC Cup, Yogi International beat a strong Solanki side with three balls to spare and four wickets in hand.

Meanwhile in the AKCC tournament being held in Sharjah, Aramex scored a 160-run victory over AKCC.

Wellfit Kasargod and Eurocon continued their good show in this Dr Sunny's Clinic sponsored event. Newly formed team Aramex posted 273 runs in 25 over.

In reply, AKCC were bowled out for just 113 in 16 overs.

Anuraag Nair sparkled with an unbeaten 44 and 72 for Pehla Insportz Under-13 team in New Delhi.

In the first match against Ashok Malhotra Cricket Academy (AMCA), Anuraag scored an unbeaten 44 out of the team's total of 93 for 8. AMCA won losing just two wickets.

In another match against Bahrain, Anuraag hit 72 with eight fours to help Insportz score 145 for eight. Bahrain won by seven wickets.
