Needing 72 runs before the match, Sudharsan reached the milestone in style, launching a six off Krunal Pandya on the final ball of the ninth over. He carried on with confidence and control, bringing up his first century of the 2026 season with a fluent 100 off 58 balls.

The knock guided Gujarat to a strong total of 205 for 3. Sudharsan now has 2,028 runs in 47 innings, averaging 47.16 with a strike rate close to 147. This season, he has scored 235 runs in seven matches.

Kohli, Padikkal power RCB chase

Despite the big target, Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased it down with ease, reaching 206 with seven balls to spare.

Virat Kohli led the charge with a composed 81 off 44 balls, setting the pace early in the innings. Devdutt Padikkal provided solid support with a brisk 55 from just 27 deliveries.

The pair stitched together a crucial 115-run partnership in 59 balls, keeping the chase firmly on track. Their steady approach ensured the required rate never climbed too high.

The win lifts RCB to 10 points from seven matches, with five victories and two defeats, keeping them firmly in the race this season.
