Dubai: India’s Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh could be at the mercy of the weather, with rain and humidity threatening to shake up conditions in Dubai on Thursday. A damp outfield or heavy dew could turn the toss into a game-changer, making team strategies all the more crucial.

According to a weather bulletin from the National Centre of Meteorology for Thursday: “Partly cloudy and cloudy at times with the probability of light rainfall around coastal areas. There will be a gradual increase in temperature during the day, and it will be humid at night.”

While rain could disrupt team plans, humidity may increase the dew factor, making the toss a crucial factor in the game’s outcome.

In the recently concluded DP World ILT20 league, which wrapped up on February 9, 25 matches were won by teams chasing, with only two of those victories coming in day games.
