The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the national team’s new jersey for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 in a ceremony at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.

During the event, the 15-member squad for the prestigious tournament showcased the new kit, which blends light and dark green, with a dark green bottom and light green top.

The PCB also released a video featuring star players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and women’s players Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana wearing the jersey.

The video highlighted the unity and passion the green jersey brings to Pakistanis, symbolizing their collective support for the national team.

The ceremony also marked the completion of Gaddafi Stadium’s renovation, which included new LED floodlights, larger scoreboards, upgraded seating, and hospitality boxes.

The stadium will host two matches in the upcoming tri-nation ODI series between Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa on February 8 and 10.

It will also feature at least four matches during the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, including the second semi-final on March 5, and possibly the final on March 9, depending on India’s qualification.

The Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9, with 15 matches across three venues in Pakistan—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi—and one in Dubai.

Major change in Team India's jersey

Meanwhile, ahead of India’s three-match ODI series against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled India’s new ODI jersey on Wednesday.

The jersey, featuring a tri-color gradient on the shoulders, was worn by players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer.

The first ODI between India and England will take place at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, followed by matches in Cuttack and Ahmedabad on February 10 and 12.

India’s squad for the series is the same as for the Champions Trophy, with Varun Chakravarthy replacing Jasprit Bumrah.
